Description

  • cloisonne
  • 7in. high
with yellow bodies and multi-coloured wing feathers, looking to the left and right, mounted on square gilt-metal bases

Condition

Both are in very good condition. The enamels are in good order with general small flakes and minor infills (as seen on both tails of the quails, the largest measuring approx. 2x1cm). There are minor enamel shrinkage and pinprick holes, as characteristic of the period. The gilding is gently rubbed.
