Condition

Overall in very good condition. With one small and minor restored edge chip (approximately 1 x 1/2 inch) to the outer contour of one of the negative reserves between the handles, which was recently professionally restored by the Ford Conservation Center in Omaha. This restoration was sensitively executed and not visibly discernible by sight or black light. The exterior with some occasional minor surface and glaze imperfections inherent in the making, and with some very light and minor surface scratches, abrasion marks and minor traces of surface residue consistent with age and gentle use. The interior with light surface soiling. A superb example of this modernist, curvilinear form displaying an exceptionally rich and vibrant green glaze. The charcoal treatment is particularly artistic, with irregular drips below the negative reserves which heighten the visual interest of the vase.
