Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 15 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The shade was recently restored by a professional Tiffany conservator. Previously, the shade had an old heavy-handed repair executed around 1966 to one small localized area on the bottom row of green glass tiles just above the bottom rim. This old repair was sensitively restored with five pieces of period Tiffany glass which are well-matched and visually harmonious with the rest of the shade. A few of the cracks previously noted were also stabilized with glue. The top aperture rim of the shade is very slightly out of around on the base wheel. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display a rich green patina with russet brown highlights. The bronze surfaces throughout with surfaces scratches, surface abrasions to the outer perimeter of the cushion, rubbing, and with a few small and minor scattered losses to the patina consistent with age and use. The base is fitted with three electrical sockets. One socket is an old replacement, and two paddle switches are replaced. Lacking bakelite cord guide on the side of the base cushion. With period finial, which has a replaced top knop with a corresponding patina. A superb example of the model with a highly artistic and well-varied glass selection. Each glass tile was thoughtfully selected and displays strong artistic nuance, all contributing to the outstanding artistic statement of the lamp.
