Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wooden elements of the chair and ottoman possibly with a sensitively applied later finish. With a few possible restorations to the seams which have been well executed and both elements of the lot are in stable condition. Both the chair and ottoman with minor surface scratches, light rubbing to finish and some occasional edge nicks, which are consistent with gentle use. The carved decorative scheme is well executed and with intricate detailing. Both the chair and ottoman with later upholstery which is executed in a manner consistent with the original design. The upholstery on this chair and ottoman show gentle use with minor rubbing. The ottoman echoes the line of the front stretcher of the chair and can therefore be flush against the chair frame. The ottoman appears original to the chair and not a later pairing.
