Description

of bombé form, each surmounted by a molded brèche violette de Serravezza marble top and opening to two shelves

Condition

Marble tops with light surface scratches; one marble top with a chipped front right corner; the other with some small areas of infill; gilt-bronze mounts with light scratches, surface dirt, and losses to gilding; both cabinets with minor surface restorations, small chips mainly to edges, scratches, and minor age cracks; one cabinet with a patch to veneer, approximately 1/2 in by 1/2 in, at front right edge of upper section; both cabinets with small patches to upper edge where the marble sits; both cabinets with larger age cracks to proper top of proper right sides; one cabinet with worm damage to veneer most extensively to proper left side but found throughout.
