Condition
Overall in good condition and presentation; this marble figure is finely carved; chips to bottom edge of base with a larger one to its front proper left side which is visible in the catalogue illustration; the surface is smooth but we believe it has been acid washed in order to get rid of grime, dirt, and stains consistent with age; there are, however, still some traces of dirt and stains; some overpaint on the inner side of her right ankle, possibly to cover up a natural defect in the marble.
