Description

The gently tapered band pierced and millegrain-set with step-cut rubies, circular- and single-cut diamonds, length approximately 187mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, signature partially obscured.

Condition

Rubies total weight approximately 4.50-5.00 carats, a medium slightly pinkish red, typical inclusions feathers, silk and needles visible with magnification, surface abrasions. Diamonds total weight approximately 3.00-3.50 carats, bright and lively. Well articulated. Secure clasp with safety catch to one side. Loop fittings to side later added probably for a safety chain now deficient, one loop has been affixed obscuring Arpels in the signature of the piece. Sides chased with foliate motifs. In good condition.
