This model is part of a series of dancers modelled by Giuseppe Gricci which was meant to be displayed on the table, most probably together with "still-life" services. A similar example is illustrated by F. Stazzi, op. cit, Milano 1972, ill 79 and by A. CarĂ²la-Perrotti, op.cit, Naples, 1986, n.149, p.205.
