Catalogue Note

A variant version of the full page illustration from The House at Pooh Corner (Methuen, 1928). The illustration is from the chapter in which it is shown that Tiggers don't climb trees. Shepard is known to have redrawn several examples of his drawings as presents or commissions. It is believed that this is one such example.
