Condition

Original canvas. The paint surface is slightly dirty. There are some small spots of paint loss to the left of the buildings at the centre of the composition. There is a dent to the reverse of the canvas approximately 6cm from the centre of the left hand edge, which has resulted in some fine lines of craquelure. Faint stretch marks are visible along the right hand edge and upper and lower edges. Held in a modern gold painted frame. Unexamined out of frame.

Maria Dzhagupova worked closely with Kasimir Malevich in the 1930s and strove to develop his theories of colour and composition in her own work.
