the bird perched on a gold branch, set with round and baguette diamonds weighing approximately 7.80 carats, the body mystery-set with calibré-cut rubies weighing approximately 10.50 carats, further accented with round and marquise-shaped rubies, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 59500, French assay marks.

Condition

In very good condition. Set with 68 round and baguette diamonds of approximately F-G color and VS-SI clarity. Further set with 56 well-matched mystery-set medium dark, slightly purplish red rubies, 2 marquise-shaped and 2 round rubies of a similar color, lightly included, the round rubies exhibiting some surface abrasions. The branch and the beak are white gold and exhibit a warmer coloring than the platinum mounting. Additionally with a maker's mark. Dimensions: 2 inches by 3 1/4 inches.
