Condition

With wide margins, the image in good, fresh condition. A window of pale light-stain surrounds the plate, with other pale discoloration in the margins and verso, darker discoloration at the sheet edges. There are corrections in the text which are not entirely consistent with the hand-retouchings characteristic of Blake's own work. It is difficult to be certain whether this portion of the plate was damaged and touched up by a later hand, or whether it was indeed by Blake himself.
