Condition

These photographs are in generally excellent condition. The plates are as follows: 'Pinnacles, Alabama Hills, Owens Valley, California, 1945' 'Mudhills, Arizona, 1947' 'Lone Pine Peak, Sierra Nevada, California, c. 1960' 'Moon and Clouds, Northern California, 1959' 'Forest and Stream, Northern California, 1959' 'Petroglyphs, Monument Valley, Utah, 1958' 'The Black Sun, Tungsten Hills, Owens Valley, California, 1939' 'Woman Behind Screen Door, Independence, California, 1944' 'White Stump, Sierra Nevada, California, 1936' 'Pipes and Gauges, West Virginia, 1939' The printed title, introduction, plate list, colophon, and statement by Nancy Newhall are in essentially excellent condition. The beige cloth clamshell box is soiled overall.
