Provenance

The violin was owned by the celebrated 19th century British collector David Laurie, and subequently by the American collector R.N. Chittolini.  It passed to Ansley K. Salz of San Francisco and then to Eunice Wennermark Price of Los Angeles, and was sold to the present owner in 1979
