Condition

Original canvas. There is a small surface abrasion near the centre of the upper edge and some faint craquelure to two areas of thick black pigment: one near the centre and the other in the centre of the upper left quadrant; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition with strong passages of impasto. Under UV light there appear to be no signs of retouching. Held in a dark stained wood frame. Please call the department on 0207 293 6424 if you have any questions about the present work.
