The first rectangular silver-gilt cigarette case enhanced with black and eggshell lacquer, measuring approximately 4¾ by 3¼ by 3/8 inches, signed Hermès-Paris, numbered 15, with French assay and maker's marks; the second circular gilt-metal compact applied with black, red and eggshell lacquer, the interior fitted with a mirror, the diameter measuring 2 3/8 inches, numbered 44; the third gilt-metal vanity case enhanced with black and eggshell lacquer, the interior fitted with a mirror and two compartments, measuring approximately 3¼ by 1¾ by 3/8 inches, signed Jean Dunand; circa 1925.
Condition
Please note the three cases date to circa 1925. HERMES CASE: In good condition, with very minimal apparent enamel loss. Minor wear and patination to the gold on the interior. CIRCULAR COMPACT: In good condition with minor loss to the enamel. Indistinct workshop mark in the interior. DUNAND COMPACT: In good condition, with minor patination to the gold. Inscribed "Oreum," a propietary gold alloy used in jewelry in the 1920s, and stamped with Oreum's marks.
