Description

  • platinum, onyx, diamond
The flexible strap composed of 15 circular onyx links, spaced by segments set with numerous single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.10 carats, length 7 inches, signed Cartier, numbered 2305, circa 1925.

Condition

In good condition with wear to metal links commensurate with age. The onyx rings maintain a good polish. One ring appears to be composed of a section of onyx encased within a translucent colorless material, possibly a type of chalcedony or possibly of man-made origin. This link is likely a later-replacement or is evidence of a repair. The 76 single-cut diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity. Signed on the diamond-set link next to the female end of the clasp. Numbered on the male end of the clasp.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
