The articulated pendant designed as a cascade of marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 5.15 carats, set in the center with an emerald-cut sapphire weighing 29.50 carats, framed by square-cut, bullet-shaped, hexagonal and triangular-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 2.75 carats, completed by a necklace set with 2 triangular-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.80 carats, further set with baguette diamonds, clusters of marquise-shaped diamonds, and links set with old European-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 22.00 carats, the clasp set with an emerald-cut sapphire weighing approximately 4.25 carats, length 15 inches, signed Lacloche Frères, French assay marks.
Condition
Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 48048 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, no gemological evidence of heat. In very good condition and exceptionally well-made. The primary sapphire is medium-violetish blue with minor color zoning but otherwise eye-clean and presenting a nice polish. The sapphire set into the clasp is similar color and lightly included with abrading to the facet junctions. Set with 77 marquise-shaped, 144 round diamonds, 8 baguette, 6 square-cut, 4 bullet-shaped, 4 hexagonal and 4 triangular-shaped diamonds; approximately F-J color, VS-SI clarity. Signed on the clasp with maker's mark and assay mark on the tongue. Fitted with a safety clasp.
