The gold mermaid perched on a carved rock crystal above waves of round sapphires and aquamarines, accented by round and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.50 carats, mounted in 18 karat gold and platinum, signed Verdura.  With signed box.

Condition

The stylized wave created by alternating varying shades of sapphires, aquamarines and diamonds. The blue stones exhibiting surface abrasions and chips under magnification, probably due to wear; they do not impact the look of the brooch when worn. The diamonds are all approximately G to H color, VS clarity. The rock crystal measuring approximately 1.5 by 1.3 mm. The mermaid exhibiting some nicks and scratches. Gross weight approximately 38.9 dwts. In very good condition.
