Each pendant designed as scallop shell within a foliate and ribbon frame, set with cushion-, pear-shaped, circular-, single-cut and rose diamonds, one with brooch pin and pendant loop detachable, additional articulated foliate and ribbon surmount en suite, one small diamond deficient, both with fitted case stamped Médaille d'Or 1878, Durand-Leriche, Fabricant, 4, rue Montesquieu, Paris.

Condition

Please note that the scallop shell motif in not detachable, as stated in the printed catalogue. There is a screw where additional fittings could once be added. Mounted in silver-topped gold. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 40.00 - 45.00 carats, on average of H-J colour (few with a more yellowish tint) and VS-I clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting, one small diamond deficient behind moving pear-shaped diamond, some chipping to diamonds due to age and wear. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, some solder marks to the reverse but not disturbing when worn. Well preserved and in good condition.
