the large rectangular portfolio mounted on front with engraved gilt-metal strapwork set with numerous multi-color enamel bosses and flowerheads and centered by blue and white champlevé monogram BV, the back with gilt-metal and enamel bosses at angles and center with cartouche with enamel dates 1888 and 1897, interior with illuminated eulogy in Hungarian with two Hebrew passages and list of signatures of the contributors

the leather with some scuffing and foxing and stains throughout, enamel good
