Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a thick layer of varnish and UV examination reveals no signs of retouching. There is a lovely rich impasto to the figure's clothing and some minor paint shrinkage to some of the thicker black pigments. There is some surface dirt in places and the work would benefit from a clean. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the orange tones are brighter in the original.
