Condition

The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require a service in the near future to be well preserved. Dial with a spot at 7 o'clock, and some light spots around the constant seconds. Glass slightly scuffed to the outer. Case with a few light scuffs throughout. Overall has remained in its original condition with nice patina to dial and case. This watch remained in the family of the original owner. Reference 1775ALB.

Catalogue Note

The present example perfectly illustrates the elegant style of simple Breguet wriswatches so called 'Empire'. Considered to be the most stylish model ever made by Breguet, it was worn by many influential people in France. According to Breguet archives, a similar model was sent to Prince Michel Poniatowski by Prime Minister  General de Gaulle, on 17 September 1962.
