Description

  • platinum, sapphire, diamond
Centered by a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 13.22 carats, flanked by two triangular diamonds weighing approximately 1.80 carats, size 2ΒΌ.

Condition

In good condition. The sapphire is a medium very slightly violetish blue, with a soft, velvety texture as is typical with type of material. Lightly included though with some abrading and nicks to the facet junctions and more significant chipping around the girdle. Very minor color zoning when viewed through the pavilion. Nonetheless, the color is rich and evenly distributed throughout the stone and is a strong example of a Kashmir sapphire. The diamonds approximately G-H color, VS-SI clarity. Accompanied by 2 gemological reports: Gubelin report no. 12070015 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, no indication of heat. AGL report no. CS 50100 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, no indication of heat.
