Pair of Silver-on-Gold, Platinum, Emerald and Diamond Pendant-Earclips

The tops set with two oval-shaped emeralds and the pendants set with two pear-shaped emeralds, together weighing approximately 8.75 carats, set throughout with numerous old mine, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 7.50 carats, pendants detachable.

The mountings in fair condition with overall wear, evident solder on the connecting links and slight warping to the undergalleries of the pendants. The tops and pendants are a marriage with the tops possibly late 19th century with later-added clip backings and the pendants possibly circa 1920. The emeralds in the tops are a medium slightly bluish-green and moderately included; abrasions to the facet junctions and one with a chip. The emeralds in the pendants are a less saturated slightly bluish green and heavily included with surface-reaching inclusions and apparent color zoning. The color of the emeralds is more saturated overall than indicated by the printed catalogue illustration. The old mine-cut diamonds are approximately J-M color, SI-I clarity. The old European and single-cut diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS-I clarity.
