Condition
Original canvas. Under UV light there are areas of restoration overall, with ten associated patches on the reverse, notably a vertical patch 25 by 10cm over the reverse of the lower centre, relating to an area of retouching, with another area to the right, including a thin 15cm vertical stroke, strokes in his mouth and right eye, and in the background in the upper left and upper right. There is vertical craquelure, notably in the figure.
Held in a modern pale gold-painted frame.
