Condition

In overall good condition. Minor dents and scratches. Two dents on cover border. Legible marks under base and on cover rim. Nice quality.

Catalogue Note

Johann Christoph Treffler I was born in Augsburg around 1652. In 1680 he became a goldsmith and a citizen, and also married Anna Maria, the daughter of goldsmith Hans Jakob Baur II. Two years later he married Elisabetha, the daughter of Johann Priester III. He died in Augsburg in January 1723. His son, who was born in 1686, followed his father's profession and became a master goldsmith in 1715.
