First editions. Dietrich (1768-1850), as a promising young amateur of botany, became acquainted with Goethe who was so impressed that he smoothed his path to the scientific study of the subject at Jena. He came to hold a variety of garden directorships in Weimar, Wilhelmsthal and Eisenach.
Of extraordinary rarity with all five parts, OCLC lists only two copies of the first work and three copies of the second.
