Description

the recurved double-edged watered-steel blade with a faint central ridge, gold overlay at the forte with floral motifs, the carved ivory hilt of horse-head form with a pattern of arabesques in shallow relief, the scrolled quillons carved and inlaid with a black substance

Condition

In good condition, some patina across blade and resulting loss to gold decoration at forte, the ivory hilt with some cracks consistent with age and rubbing, as viewed.
