A silver-thread embroidered pilgrim's leather pouch, Turkey, 18th/19th Century

of deep, rectangular form with a pyramidal base and metallic cord tassle, four overlapping covers, embroidered on the exterior with stylised leafy stems and scrolls in metallic threads, the interior of each cover embroidered in gold thread with a symbol, including a roundel of three lines of cursive calligraphy, a hand, shoes, and other objects
