Condition

The following condition report has been prepared by Julius Lowy Art Conservation: the artwork is a mixed media piece consisting mainly of charcoal, gouache and pen and ink executed on paper. The paper support has been lined to an auxiliary rag paper support with what appears to be BEVA film. The paper supports as well as the mixed media layers, which are applied directly to the paper, are in good and stable condition. Ultraviolet examination reveals careful inpainting in the lower right corner where there is a small paper insert next to the signature. The artwork is clean and signed at the lower right in black: E. Shinn, 1900. The artwork is in excellent condition overall.
