Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 12-14 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The rare jeweled candlestick base is in excellent condition. All of the favrile glass jewels set into the crown of the base are intact and appear undisturbed, with no visible condition issues. The casting on the base is exceptionally fine and crisp, and the base displays a beautiful deep rich green and brown patina, with very light rubbing consistent with age and gentle use. All of the sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed. With period finial. An outstanding example of the model, with a superb shade and base pairing. The lamp appears very delicate and jewel like, with great proportion. The early and highly artistic glass which was thoughtfully selected for this shade shows great visual interest and artistic nuance, most notably in the selection of confetti and ribbon glass and the placement of color. The intense cobalt blue and violet transparent background glass also imparts the shade with great luminosity.
