Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 6 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The shade with two small and minor areas of separation to the leading located in the top register below the top aperture (both areas are stable). The patinated bronze surfaces of the base with light rubbing to the high points of the design, surface soiling to the recessed contours, and some light and minor surface wear consistent with age and gentle use. The patina possibly enhanced on the upper components of the base (socket cluster arms and wheel). With period sockets and paddle switches, and with period finial. The very top knop of the finial is gently bruised. A very attractive example of the model displaying a highly artistic and well-varied glass selection articulated in saturated tonalities of red, deep pink, orange, yellow and green. Much of the glass is vigorously mottled, which provides the shade with great visual interest and depth. A very successful shade and base pairing, displaying harmonious proportions. The rare base design is incredibly sculptural, with superb well defined casting and applied coil decoration.
