Condition

Original canvas. The canvas is undulating slightly in all but the lower right corner. There is a faint stretcher bar mark along the upper edge and some minor frame abrasion about the edges. The surface is slightly dirty but is in otherwise good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals a fleck of retouching to the figure's knee. Held under glass in a painted plaster frame; unexamined out of frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 5575 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
