Condition

Colours: The overall tonality is much lighter and fresher in the original. Condition: The artist used a prepared canvas. However, he used the unprepared side to paint on. He did this on purpose to get a very matt brown paint layer around the blue square. The canvas does not have a good strain: Too loose; irregular; deformations. Left side in the middle, and right side top: Two scratches in paint layer and linen, some matt white spots in the blue square. Superficial scratches in the brown parts. On the whole the painting is in good state. The defects can be restored. These restorations would be invisible with the naked eye.
