the faces realistically painted, the robe of the Mother of God cast and chased with foliate ornaments, the pierced halos decorated with delicately shaded cloisonné enamel foliate scrolls, the ground engraved with strapwork, the borders repoussé with scrolling floral ornaments within enamel bands decorated with heart-shaped motifs on a blue background and four-leafed enamel flowers on a turquoise background, St Nicholas the Miracleworker on the left and St Irina on the right, struck with maker's mark NG (Cyrillic), unrecorded, 84 standard
