Description

  • Silver, enamel, garnet, ivory
of rounded triangular form, the surface of translucent white enamel over wavy engine-turning, the top applied with a ribbon-tied laurel and berry heart centring the cabochon garnet pushpiece within a rosette, beaded borders, gadrooned pad feet, ivory base, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 4784 

Condition

The enamel is unusually thick, suggesting that the object has been re-enamelled. There is a loss to the enamel at one side corner. The object has been re-wired.
