Description

  • Silver, enamel, glass, wood
  • height: 11.8cm, 4 5/8 in.
rectangular, the surface of translucent white enamel over banded engine-turned waves and applied with neoclassical foliate trails, chased pellet and mullet border, the bead-framed aperture enclosing a white glass panel graded in Réaumur scale, the bulb and capillary containing blue-dyed alchohol, wood back, silver-gilt scroll strut and suspension loop, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 3931

Condition

The enamel and mounts are in excellent condition. There are two cracks to the central glass panel, and cracks at three screw holes on the wood back.
