First edition of this elegant tour of India in a handsome Cosway-style binding with sixteen oval miniatures of views of Indian architecture set into the covers. Red crushed morocco, single-fillet borders, upper cover with a large centerpiece miniature surrounded by twelve smaller miniatures, each framed in gold floral tools, bottom cover with three large miniatures similarly framed, gilt edges, gilt-tooled turn-ins, turquoise watered-silk doublures and endleaves, by Bayntun of Bath.
