Description

  • height 1 1/2 in.; width 4 5/8 in.; depth 2 3/8 in.
  • 3.8 cm; 11.7 cm; 6 cm
the gilt metal hinged straps terminating in fleurs-de-lis, the handle attached with florette-shaped bosses, a lock and hinged clasp on the front, formerly on four feet, now lacking.

Condition

Some wear and traces of gilding on metal. Two straps replaced and two repaired. Some cracks and repair to ivory. Two patches of ivory on back right corner. Several holes on all corners of underside where feet, now lacking, were attached. General scratches, surface abrasions, minor chipping, and discoloration throughout.
