Description

the pentalobed stepped base rising to a tall narrow stem interspersed with wood and ivory knops and florettes, a flared scalloped element rising to a gadrooned wood cup, the conforming gadrooned lid with ivory band underneath and similarly formed ivory and wood knop surmounted by an artichoke-form finial; the whole decorated with small circular ivory bosses, with an indistinct number in ink below foot: "560?."

Some age cracks. Some elements on stem re-glued. Minor chips. Some bosses re-attached and/or restored. Glued crack to ivory ring under lid. Chipping to finial with small restoration on ivory portion.
