Condition

Some losses to enamel, and gilt surfaces are worn, the plastic "crystal ball" with some scratches and abrasions; overall condition is fair to poor. Stamped on the reverse "Thief of Bagdad, Korda" followed by the copyright symbol. Inspired by the Film of Alexander Korda "The Thief of Bagdad," the copyright symbol refers to the license agreement and the film's copyrights; Korda himself was not involved in the design of the pieces, they were produced by the American manufacturing firm Rice-Weiner. Some of the colorless stones have a greenish discoloration behind them in the settings, the green simulated emeralds are well-matched for color, overall good condition, the central plaque signed Nettie Rosenstein. The white metal and simulated diamond brooch with green plastic simulated emerald and plastic pearls in very good condition, signed "Chr. Dior 19/60" with copyright symbol; the pair of yellow metal and simulated sherry topaz pendant earclips signed Dior, overall very good condition.
