Catalogue Note

Published as the frontispiece to Sindbad the Sailor and other Stories from The Arabian Nights (Hodder and Stoughton, 1914). The frame includes the original labels from the 1915 Leicester Galleries exhibition. A review of the book in The Times noted that Dulac "...has provided pictures which preserve to a marvel the Persian feeling..." (10 December 1914).
