Catalogue Note

Rare: Printed music from the mid-sixteenth century is now very rare at auction.  Susato and Waelrunt were leading music printers of the day and were both composers themselves. The pieces here are by some of the most important motet composers from the first half of the sixteenth century: Clemens non Papa, Crecquillon, Willaert, Certon, Gombert, Goudimel and others.
