Attractive jadeite and ruby necklace/belt, Cartier, 1930

Description

Composed of two strands of alternating jadeite and ruby beads,  to a clasp designed as two jadeite engraved plaques highlighted with carved and cabochon rubies, length approximately 760mm, signed Cartier London.

Signed Cartier London. Jade and ruby beads very well matched in colour, few scratches and nicks. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, in good condition.

Catalogue Note

This belt was originally designed by Cartier London as a double strand bracelet and was later transformed into its present state. It was sold to Ganna Walksa in 1931.
