Composed of five slightly graduated rows of pearls, the clasp decorated with a foiled back oval pink topaz, engraved at the back: Given from the Earl of Jersey to Emily Bignell 16 July 1817.

Condition

Metal tested as gold. Clasp engraved a the back: Given by the Earl of Jersey to Emily Bignell 16 July 1817. Please refer to SSEF report for details on the pearls. Medium to good lustre, white to creamy white colour, light grey and rosé overtones, some overgrowth marks and minor blemishes. Foiled back pink topaz, a few minor nicks. Necklace may benefit to be restrung. Clasp secure, scratches and minor tarnish commensurate with age and wear. In good condition.
