Condition
Board is laid down on cradled panel and is stable. Areas of board that have been intentionally left bare appear time-darkened. Edges of board show signs of prior frame rubbing. Scattered minor surface scuffs and nicks are evident throughout, as are areas of minor surface dirt. There appear to be areas of repair at the extreme lower right and upper right corners of the work. Under UV light: a thick layer of varnish is difficult to read through, but there are signs of inpainting at the lower right corner. In addition, there appear to be areas of retouching along the exteme perimeter. Nailheads that attach the board to its panel are visible at all four corners; they have been painted over. No other inpainting is apparent. Otherwise fine; work is in good condition.
