Condition
Collage and paper mounted on artist's board. The board is stable. There are some scattered spots of foxing, primarily to the support sheet, some areas of discolouration, some of which is probably associated with the artist's glue, and a small abrasion to the cream paper of the guitar. There are a few scattered pinholes, mostly at the edges, possibly by the artist. Overall the work is in good original condition.
Colours: Fairly accurate, although the brown paper is darker and richer in the original.

Catalogue Note
'We should focus on the way paper, crayon, gouache, modest and docile materials serve Laurens to further explore space, to possess it, to render it completely his own, to invent different and unseen qualities...'
