Condition
Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, hinged to the backboard in the upper two corners, floating in the mount. There is a diagonal crease to the upper right edge of the sheet and further minor creasing to the other three corners, and a further small crease to the top of the left nude's head. There is some possible paper residue and slight paint loss to the black pigment above the signature. The sheet is time stained and slightly discoloured, most notably towards the upper edge where there were previously two hinges.
Colours: The black tones are more prominent and much sharper and the sheet is warmer in the original than in the catalogue illustration.
