Accompanied by a Patek Philippe maroon leather folder containing Certificate of Origin dated 2010, a color diagram showing exploded views of the movement, images and descriptions of the dial and instructions for adjusting the moon age and the Sky Moon mechanism.  Further accompanied by a presentation box with an outer card box.

In 2002, Patek Philippe launched the 'Celestial', REF. 5102, an astronomical wristwatch and one of the most important horological complications ever developed.  The watch depicts the planisphere of the northern hemisphere with an integrated moon-phases display, successfully reproducing the configuration of the visible sky with the apparent movement of the Milky Way, the position of the moon, and its progressing phases within a lunar cycle.

Its newly developed automatic movement with the Sky Moon mechanism (Caliber 240 LU CL) composed of 301 individual parts that are meticulously hand-finished in the workshops of Patek Philippe, positively reinforced Patek Philippe's unparalleled status in technological innovation of horology.  For this important invention, Patek Philippe was awarded a Swiss Patent for the base calibre (CH 688 171 B5).

The Ref. 5102PR introduced it Basel 2009 is sculpted in platinum and 18k pink gold and replaces the Ref. 5102J produced in 18k yellow gold.  The warm pink gold lugs and Calatrava detailing on the case band glisten against the cool platinum case and bezel attaining utmost balance and refinement.

This is the first time the Ref. 5102PR has ever appeared at auction in Hong Kong, presenting a unique opportunity for collectors of this poetic complication.
